The Soul Xpressions Way
Soul Xpressions’ vision: Youth are strong, capable, creative and authentically themselves.
Soul Xpressions believes that all people are creative and capable of manifesting their talent. No matter the challenge, young people can explore their creative journey in community, through learning, and with passion and perseverance. There is power in becoming one’s whole self through discovering and developing the body, mind, spirit and talent. And, there is beauty in displaying one’s manifestation to the world.
“Discover. Develop. Display.”

Soul Xpressions’ mission is to create a platform where young people can learn, explore and grow their body, mind, spirit and talent through immersive arts experiences, black history education, and curated coaching. Young people engage in activities that promote self-esteem, and allow them to discover, develop and display their given gifts to grow academically, emotionally and socially.
“I am Soul Xpressions” is our mantra. When we say that, we mean that we are here for creativity, hard work, self-expression and persistence. The four pillars of Soul Xpressions are Body, Mind, Talent and Spirit.
Body
I am strong. I take care of myself with good food, hard work and rest.
Mind
I am alert and aware. I believe in myself and what I am capable of.
Talent
I am creative. I can express my gifts in many ways.
Spirit
I am authentically me. The world has a place for me. I choose my attitude, my path and my future.
Soul Xpressions’ Theory of Change:
by creating opportunities for youth to learn while developing their talents, they will experience cultural pride and personal empowerment – setting them up to manage and create their own success.
